Nearly half a century of artificial intelligence research has shown that machines have incomparable advantages in search, calculation, storage and optimization, etc., but they are still unable to match human intelligence in perception, reasoning, induction and learning. In view of the complementarity of machine intelligence and human intelligence, we proposed the research idea of hybrid intelligence (Cyborg Intelligence, CI) many years ago, extending intelligence research to the interconnection of biological intelligence and machine intelligence, and integrating their respective strengths to create a Smart form with higher performance. Hybrid intelligence aims at the deep integration of biological intelligence and machine intelligence. Through interconnected channels, it establishes environmental perception, memory, reasoning, learning capabilities of biological (human) agents and information integration, search, and calculation of machine agents. capable of new intelligent systems.
A hybrid intelligent system is to build a bidirectional closed-loop organic system that contains both living organisms and artificial intelligence electronic components. Among them, the biological tissue can accept the information of the artificial body, and the artificial body can read the information of the biological tissue, and the two interact seamlessly. At the same time, the biological tissue feeds back the changes of the artificial agent in real time, and vice versa. A hybrid intelligent system is no longer just a fusion of biology and machinery, but an organic whole that simultaneously integrates biological, mechanical, electronic, and informational factors to enhance the system''s behavior, perception, and cognition.
